Grand Admiral Sopwith Camel 1.56:1 4.74:1 |
| History: |
Hailing from a long line of military officers and statesmen, Mui was named after the World War I flying ace Billy Bishop and carries the call sign of the ancient biplane that flew for the Allies.
Mui started in the UGTO Academy as a chemist, working alongside Prof. Juliana Ruciñska following the Third Stellar Conflict to develop powerful organic laser dyes still used today in standard issue chemical laser weapons (Mui and Ruciñska. Journal of Chemical Laser Weaponry, 2266, 31, 871-948). Mui research career was ended abruptly in 2268, when he enlisted as a Midshipman after the Sirius Incident killed both his parents and his older sister.
After quickly working up the ranks as an unfleeted officer, Sopwith Camel was admitted into the Galactic Navy as a Rear Admiral. Sopwith was most recently promoted to the rank of Admiral after a resounding victory over the K'Luth in Wolf 359.
Sopwith has recently returned from a two-year sabbatical from active service when he sat in the UGTO Senate for his ailing uncle Senator Bob Braham Mui. He is now an active commander, usually in a supporting ship, but will command battleships to engage the enemy should the need arise. |
